Rigol Function / Arbitrary Waveform generator uses the Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis technology (DDS) to generate high accuracy and high stability sine waves, square waves, and other popular waveforms. It can also generate programmable pulse signals. Other than the functional waveforms, the arbitrary waveform feature allows engineers to generate any desired waveforms through the use of UltraWave, the application and waveform editing software. Actual signal can also be captured through an oscilloscope, then download it to a signal generator as output signal. The digital sampling technology and the Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis technology enable engineers to build any required waveforms for circuit design  verifications.

Since 2006 Rigol has introduced DG1000, DG2000, and DG3000 series products of maximum frequency up to 120MHz, 512K-point/400MSa/s sample rate arbitrary waveforms, LCD display, user-friendly, and informative. They are excellent circuit debug tools for engineers.
